It's Time to Hit the Road (or Air!)

We're off! We left Chicago O'Hare airport this morning just before 11:00am. Thanks to employee benefits on American Airlines and lots of open seats in first class, all five of us flew in style on our trip to Maui today.
The eight and a half hours could seem like a long time, but not when it's Movie Fest 2006! Though the movies shown on the "big screen" were less appropriate for the kids, Zachary and Christa enjoyed watching "Lady and the Tramp II" while Barrett and Daddy watched Narnia. Later in the flight, the big screen showed "Over the Hedge", which certainly brought plenty of joy to B and Z. We also found the iPods can help pass the time as well.
We arrived in Maui on time around 2:00pm. Where to go first? Costco, of course! We filled a shopping cart with meals for the week, barely fitting the goods into our Jeep Grand Cherokee that was already bulging with luggage.
45 minutes later we arrived at our condo on Kaanapali Beach. We're in a lovely one bedroom that has plenty of room for up to six people (between the master bedroom, pull out couch, and two aerobeds).
An evening walk on the beach and swim in the pool and this crew was ready to crash. This was a wonderful start to our Wild Fall Adventure!
