"I
really enjoyed the session, Andy. Thanks!"
I hate to hear those words!
Why? Don't get me wrong... our facilitators love to hear that
participants in our keynotes & workshops enjoyed the session. Yet purely
enjoying the session doesn't mean participants are going to do anything
differently.
The only way to get different results is to take different actions.
Since we are focused on helping you and your organization improve results, we're
not satisfied with your participants simply enjoying the experience. We're
committed to enabling change.
A popular tool used in many of our sessions is the "Gold Sheet", a one-page
tool that helps reinforce the material. One side summarizes key points,
just in case the participant didn't clearly take notes. On the other side,
the participant is asked to summarize two things:
- Key things they learned
- Actions they will take
The "gold" from any learning session is when actions change. After
identifying actions to take, participants sign the form and review it with a
colleague. Our experience is the "Gold Sheet" helps participants follow
through on the actions they know they need to take.
The Gold Sheet is printed on high quality, goldenrod card stock, making it
suitable for pinning up by a desk or cubicle area. Want to preview a copy?

Training truly can work but not simply in
the classroom.
The Institute for Leadership Excellence & Development is
committed to using innovative techniques such as our "Gold Sheet" to
make sure your training investment
yields the returns you really need: improved performance in the real
world.
